MMM Game Day

House Mouse and Friends blog challenge was embossing. This challenge was running for two weeks since it was Christmas and New years. So I made another one for the challenge. Yes again I did dry embossing ( a fav of mine). I did actually dry emboss the back of the popcorn so its raised up a little. But you have to run your fingers across it to see and feel it. Since you can't you will have to believe me. lol But I did dry emboss the border again which you can see. Make sure to leave a link on the site or put TWNHPY on SCS for me to find your card.
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a safe New Year.

Pillow Soft

This card was using one of the new sets from Our Daily Bread designs that is coming out Jan 1st 2009. This set is called Lift up your Hands. You can purchase this set here on Jan 1st.

I made this card for the inspiration piece on SCS IC160. I found a pillow that was satin and pink. It was perfect for the softness that I wanted with this card. I love this ribbon. Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by. More sneak peeks to come!

Banished to the stamp room

I was banished to the stamping room last night while DH wrapped my gifts. Which worked out great for me because I was able to get this last minute little gift set done for my Grandmother. She loves to send her friends back in Alaska my cards and the scriptures are her favorite set of cards. So this little set is ready to go and be delivered. I used a few sets to make these cards. They are all from Our Daily Bread designs. I kept the format the same on all of them. I found my felt flowers I bought awhile ago when I cleaned out the stamping room. Gotta love it. lol I made a cute little box to hold these cards and the envies. Sorry for the glare, but again banished to the room so lighting wasn't great. hee hee
I have some wonderful news to share with you on Dec. 26th so make sure to check back. And HAVE A BLESSED AND MERRY CHRISTMAS! Thanks for stopping by!

MMM Embossed Dreams

Happy Monday! Oh did we get the SNOW over the weekend... whohooo... It is thick, cold and SNOW covered here. Went sledding with the kids, shovelled the driveway a few times... hee hee Great family weekend!
This weeks House Mouse and friends challenge 19 is Embossing. You can heat emboss, dry emboss use embossed papers etc... Go to town and have fun. We will be back with the HMF challenges on Jan 3rd. Leave a link on the site or put twnhpy on SCS for me to find your card there. I did some dry embossing around the frame of the image and the sentiment. I only had gold embossing powder and well it just wasn't going to work with anything. lol I added sparkle to the stockings and I embossed the edges and the sentiment. I added liquid glass to the candle as well. we have a Sponsor this week 7 Kids College Fund. A name will be drawn from those who enter a card and leave a link on the site.

Quick gift set

The challenge on Splitcoaststampers today was the Ways to Use it Challenge. It was to make a last minute quick gift. Anything from cards, boxes, ornaments etc. Just quick for those last minute gifts you always need. I made a small box with a few cards to go inside it. All the cards have one brad, one butterfly, same ribbon and the scriptures are all popped up on dimensionals. The church is from Our Daily Bread designs new sets for December. This one is from the set called Worship the Lord. Thanks for looking! Have a wonderful weekend!

Sketch 75

This is the last sketch of the year for Sketches by tamara. I love these little elf guys from Close to my heart. I added a lot of sparkle to the snow. Speaking of snow it looks like there is dirt on my card, but their is snow on our window outside and I couldn't get it to come off. So the shadow from the outside light is coming through on the card. Gggrrr... So so sorry. School is cancelled today becuase we got a ton of snow last night on top of the stuff we had already. So I get to stamp more. hee hee Hope you get to play along with us. Leave a link on the sketches page so we can find your creations. Have a wonderful day!

MMM A sketch you say...

How about a sketch, why yes a sketch would be nice. Okay noone said I was a poet. LOL This weeks House Mouse challenge is a sketch. I love how this turned out, so fresh feeling. I popped up the butterflies on dimensionals and the dp is from my scrap bin. Gotta love scraps. So break out that paper and lets stamp! The DT have really out did themselves on this sketch, be sure to check them out. Please leave a link on the HM page or put TWNHPY on SCS for me to find your creation. Judy is offering blog candy to the winner of those who participate in this weeks sketch challenge.
We have heard of some very sad news this weekend. That one of our challenge participates and a SCS friend Joanne (stamps4sanity) has passed away. Her family is asking that we send a card to someone in need to honor Joanne. Please stop by Joanne's blog if you knew Joanne and would like to say hugs and prayers to her family.

The bottom two are for last weeks challenge to use red and green on your cards. The top one is Clean winter white, either dress it up with flair, or do a monochromatic theme. I sort of went with a little of both I guess. ha ha I used my favorite set from Flourishes called Thank you. I should be getting ready for DH work party but am stamping a little. EEK!!! Christmas Church

Good evening! I made this card after not being able to sleep. You can tell I was tired look at all these brads. Sheeesshh... Just a hint don't stamp if you are tired, you'll use half your brads. LOL I wanted the trees to have lights as ours do in the front yard, hence all the brads. haha I used some of my new poinsetta flowers I got the other day. I just love these things. This set is from Our Daily Bread designs. This set is called Worship the Lord. Its one of the new sets released this month. Thanks for stopping by!

MMM Let it snow.. Let it snow...

Let it snow.. I love that song. And its a perfect song for today's House Mouse Challenge. Let it snow! So pull out the glitter, liquid applique whatever you use for snow and start sprinkling. I love how this turned out. I have glitter and liquid applique for the snow. I also added liquid glass to the candle wax that is melting. Hard to see in the picture. I watercolored the music sheets a little to look like they are outside and the cold and wet smudges the words. Just like it would if they were really outside. hee hee This HM I bought from my good friend Shelly a few months ago. She actually doesn't use these little critters much anymore. I know... I know... She is crazy, but I still love her. hee hee :0) Hope you get a chance to play today. Leave a link on the HM page for us to find your card or put TWNHPY on SCS for me to find your card! Have a wonderful day!

Lets call him Frosty...

Hee hee.. I love that movie probably a movie I will never grow out of. This is for the Inspiration challenge found on SCS. I went with the snowman necklace and choose one of the colors in the background. I got my new CTMH set yesterday called All Decked out. Oh I LOVE it! Well I love all snowmen pretty much. My house is all decorated in snowmen of all kinds, shapes and sizes. This set has so many options. Totally fun and I plan on making a few more cards today. But we have outside lights, grocery shopping and errands to do first. I know... wish I could just stamp all day, but I can't. Hope you all have a wonderful and warm day!

Wreath Border

I used the new set from Our Daily Bread designs called I Wait for the Lord. This set was just released on Monday December 1st. You can see other cards made with this set here.
I used a corner of the wreath in the set to make the border around the scripture. What better way to showcase the verse. I added a little scored line under and a pearl. I really am happy with how this turned out.
This was for the Limited Supply Challenge 195 on SCS. I went with Chocolate covered cherries theme.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Riley sketch 73

I can't believe its Thursday already. This weeks sketchs by tamara is pretty simple. However I had the hardest time not only with the card but the stinkin picture too. I had the sun out, but too much sun. You can see all my snowflakes have a blob in the center, well they really aren't like that. But the sun picked it up for some reason. Sheesshh... I got this adorable Riley stamp from my friend Angel. She is so sweet, thanks Angel. Off to check blogs and SCS today, the boys have half day so I get to play a little. hee hee Have a wonderful day!

MMM Jumping Jules

Happy Monday! Oh it is a happy one too! Got a few things to tell you today. First is this adorable House mouse card. This weeks House Mouse and Friends challenge was Polka Dots. Yeah Polka dots is not really my thing, but I do have some ribbon with polka dots. So I made a cute little bow for the corner. This is another one of the new HM stamps I got a few weeks ago. I just love their wild eyes haha.. I scored the border around the HM image. This card reminds me of my wonderful friend Jules (julesiana) on SCS she is a coffee nut and her avie is always some cool mocha looking animal or something. Its really cute this month its a turkey. hee hee How they can make the foam on the coffee look like that is amazing. Make sure to check out the other girls cards, they are just awesome. Hope you get a chance to play make sure to leave a link on the HMF site or if you upload to SCS put TWNHPY in the search for me to find it.

This is for sketches by tamara 71 I pulled out some basic grey dp and Garden silhouette by SU for this one. I kept it pretty simple since it was late when I was making this card. MMM Golf Junkie #13

Good Morning! This weeks House mouse and friends is Junk drawer. Search in those drawers that are full of stuff you just throw in there and plan to get to later. When infact you never do. LOL I searched through ours and well the main thing that always came out was golf tees. We love to golf and when you come home and have a tee in your pocket you are too tired to run back out to the bag. So we throw them in the drawer.
I got this adorable HM image from my friend Christy. I had a cloudy day with no sunshine so a dark picture. ugh... I put liquid glass on the golf ball for shine. This will go to one of the dad's I am sure for next years birthday cards. Hope you can come play along with us. Make sure to leave a link or put TWNHPY on SCS for me to find your card there.
I am leaving in 2 days for Disney world so won't be back till late next week. I will have next weeks card posted on auto post I think. Cross your fingers and hope it works. Hee hee The Colts won yesterday, WHOHOO!!! It was so darn close even till the clock ran out and the last play was in motion. Luckily though we hung in there and won. YES!! :0) Have a blessed day!

Not quite what I had in my head but it works. hee hee Thanks for stopping by!

Sketch 69 Pimp my Ride

This weeks sketch for sketches by tamara is very simple and can be done several ways. So I was flipping through the channels and came across this show called Pimp my Ride. They take these old beater cars that people own and totally deck them out to the hilt. I mean OVERBOARD these cars. So that was my inspiration for this one. I have an old faded, paint missing sort of car. I *pimped* it as they would say with the (pretend here) diamonds around the car and the steering wheel. I have a brand new paint job and oh yeah some 10 inch speakers in the back. Bawhahaha..
Anyways.. then I have these darling little snowmen that just make me giggle and smile. I just love snowmen stamps and this is a fav of mine. I added sparkle to make it look like snow on the tops.
Just 6 more days till we leave for Disney World. YEAH.... Hope everyone has a blessed day!

MMM Recipe Poinsettas

Happy Monday! This weeks House Mouse and friends challenge is a recipe. A recipe is where they give you things you have to use on your card. So this one is two buttons, ribbon, felt and a scallop edge. I combined my ribbon with my felt ribbon. The other DT's came up with awesome stuff. Make sure to check them out!
Oh I LOVE how this turned out. First you can't see the sparkle very well. If you click on the picture you can get a little better shot of it. I had horrible lighting and I either got all the sparkle and dull colors or great color and no sparkle. I went with the great color and you can imagine the sparkle. LOL
This is one of the new HM that I got a week or so ago. Isn't it just adorable. So many possibilies with this one.
I can't wait to see what you come up with. So come and play with us. Leave a link or put TWNHPY on SCS for me to find your cards there. We have a special prize this week if you make a card. A guest spot for two weeks on the Design team. How cool is that!
And oh yeah the Colts WON. Finally. We so needed this win and against the Patriots of all teams. WHOHOO!!! Gotta love those Pat's. bawhahaha
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day.

Peeking Elf

This is one of the new sets from Close to my heart I ordered a month ago. I just love these little guys. Its called Merry Pursuits and they have two more elfs in the set. Aren't they adorable. I have added sparkle to the hats and the tree. The tree is from Flourishes Forest of trees, I stamped it on the edge to give it a look of a Christmas tree. Then I used one of my House mouse stamps that has the Christmas ornaments in it to add to my tree. So I used about 3 different sets to make this card. hee hee You can click on the picture to see it closer too. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

The birds are black I know they are dull in the picture but I can't seem to get a lot of good sun lately. Its usually while I am not home that it comes out. Grrr.... This is a set from Flourishes call Birds on Vines and I love it. I keep forgetting to put links to companies I will try to make sure I do that.
Hope everyone has a blessed day!

Sketch 67 Pink pink pink

This weeks sketch is a awesome. I wish my cards were as great as the sketch. I had the worst lighting and everything looks so blah and bland. Ggggrrr... But that is what this cold weather gives me. I made another one as a thank you for a friend. The DT came up with some wonderful cards, make sure to check them out and play along with us! Sketches here Have a blessed day!
