Gigi meets Copic

Whohoo... Let's hear it for Copics. LOL I think or maybe I am fooling myself but I think I am getting the hang of these babies. It could be too much caffeine also. lol
I used the set Gigi and Chloe for this card. The color sets of Copics I used are Delphinium as the main group.

But I also used the Flesh Tones and the Hydrangea collection. These markers are so fun. I am so used to the bold solid color. So the faded or shadows are harder for me to do. But I am doing so much better and getting the hang of it. I am loving them! :0)
Check out Cindy's tutorial for some tips over on the newsletter. Latisha , Julie and Leslie also made some awesome samples for you to check out! Hope you are enjoying your summer! Have a great day!

I'm back, sketch for you and a reveal

Its Monday and the start of our summer vacation. First I have a lot of info for you today, so lets start with... We just got back from the beach and had a wonderful time. We have gone the last 8 years to the same place and we love it. My big news is we saw a whale. FINALLY... I have always wanted to see a shark or whale jump up out of the ocean while we sit on the beach and each year nothing. THIS year we saw a whale. He didn't jump up or anything but came up for air twice and we saw his back and fin. How cool is that!!! We see seals all the time but this was super cool! We are glad to be home and laundry is almost done thank goodness. haha

You have a chance at winning this fabulous set today over on the Flourishes newsletter here. This set is called Patriotism on Parade. I stamped the flag on the one layer and colored it. I scored the border with my fiskars and stylus added a few jewels and done. I love this!!!! Our troops are very important to my family and now that my BIL is officially over seas its even more on our minds what they do give up for our protection. This is something that should always be appreciated! Thank you to the families who sacrifice for us at home, just as important! THANK YOU!!!
Flourishes has a special wrapped around this stamp set. Read here: We know many see the Fourth of July as a day of celebration to honor the United State's independence. But, as many military men and women will tell you - Freedom is not free. In times of war, soldiers come home wounded and are in need of a hand up in life. Having deep ties to our country's military, Flourishes wanted to be a part of the solution. We are proudly donating a portion of the proceeds of our brand new Patriotism on Parade set to the Wounded Warrior Project. It's a not for profit who's mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors. We believe in the work they do and we can't wait to support this group's amazing efforts. Please click on www.woundedwarriorproject.org to learn more.
