Its a super cute springy or even Easter set. I pulled out my buttons and I am still working on how to use them right. But if I keep trying I am told I will do better. Yea right... lol

Next is this cute little box that I found here. I used it to make my little jungle box from the set Jungle Fever. Very fun for the kids and the boys love some of the animals in the set.

And last here we have a wonderful little Filigree Cross. I like to have a few different cross images on hand and this one is becoming a favorite already.

CDS Sneaks Plumes and Dreams

Today is about your dreams... This is a single sentiment called Dream Big. It pairs nicely with another set today called Elegant Gymnastics. I used the Bitty Botanicals with this sentiment. Added a few butterflies and a few jewels.
Below is a gift that I made for my SIL. The set is called Plumes and blooms. It is an altered journal that I had bought a few months ago. I made a bookmark with the sleeve to hold it. This technique I learned from Sharon a few years ago. It makes for a wonderful little package set.

Here is a picture with the bookmark out. I have the scripture stamp Romans 8: 38-39 stamped on it. She loved this by the way. :0)

More sneaks found here:

Hey you have to go with what works. lol The dp is from SU but I can't remember what its called.

The card below is from the set Peace for the journey. I went monochr0matic with this one. The celery gingham ribbon for a corner bow. I added a pearl to the center of the cross and pulled out my ticket punch for the corners. Now that hasn't been used in ages. :0)

CDS Sneaks Thoughts and botanicals

Welcome to day one of Clear Dollar Stamps Feb Sneak Peeks. Reminder all the sets you see for the next 4 days will be available on Feb 1st over in the CDS Store. Enjoy the sneaks!
The card below is using the set called Silhouette thoughts. I went with the soft pastel colors of blue and pink. Added a little crochet ribbon and some pearls.
Next we have the set called Bitty Botanicals. A lot of white space with a splash of color for the flowers. Again the crochet ribbon seemed to be telling me to use it. hee hee This is also using a single sentiment stamp as well.

I stamped the Bitty Botanicals in the background of the scripture for this card. Added a few sparkles to the flowers. The scripture stamp used on this is Romans 12:2.

Very Vintage

Today over on Flourishes Newsletter, Cindy is bringing on the Vintage look and feel. Now I am SO NOT a vintage stamper. However I thought I would give it a try. I wanted to make a gift for my mom with a picture of my Great Grandparents. She had it in this dinky frame forever and I have never cared for it. So here is her new frame..... I couldn't get a great picture since this is an 11x14 frame, its huge. But my mom LOVED it. :0) That always make the hard work worth it. hee hee

Now please be gentle in your vintage approval. I used the set Lace Edges and stamped them in creamy caramel around the frame. I added some double loop cream ribbon to the border and around the photo. I pulled the colors from great grandma's shirt for the purple. I did color a little bit of the lace, but left it mostly the caramel color. I went with I think its called the tea stain color look, now don't chide me if I got that wrong. lol Used several pearls around the border and on the flowers. I love this crochet ribbon, in fact I think I am just about out of it. hee hee Below is a close up picture of the lace border. You can see the pearls a little bit better there also.

I am pretty sure that Christine has a fabulous creation for you today as well! So give her some love! Hope you have a fabulous day!

Thoughts for Bernice

I made this springy card for Bernice. She is battling terminal cancer right now. She has her family and friends to help her through the chemo and hard time ahead of her. But I wanted to send her a smile and a prayer so that she knows others are thinking of you too. I hope she likes this springy card.

I am following Leslie's lead and using a older set a month and making a few cards with that set. I choose Memory of the Heart from SU for this month. I got some new paper from Memory box the other day an thought I would use that for my color selection. Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day.

Tall friends

This is a tall card that will fit into a legal size envie. I haven't made one of these in awhile. I used the Angelic Love from Flourishes for the main image. I positioned the crochet ribbon diagonal to give it more eye appeal. Added a few pearls and its done. I like how this turned out.
Got a few things going on this week so pretty quite around here, sorry about that. I will have a post on Friday and catching up when I can. Hope you are having a great day.

Two new sets today from Totally Stampalicious. Glam Kitty and a sentiment set for the Farmer Hawg set. Finally I get to show you this totally fun set Glam Kitty and oh my is she so FUN! I saw Holly (Toy) make the most adorable little drawer box here. So I emailed Holly and asked for the instructions, she was ever so gracious and sent me the file. So I went to work right away on this baby. I have made a few of these that you will be seeing soon.
Here is a photo up close of one card, the drawer and the bookmark in the set.

Below is showing another one of the cards in the set. This lips paper is so shiny and vibrant I had issues taking the pictures. It kept reflecting a shine on the the cards, so sorry about the photos being so bright. But I did use Melon Mambo cs from SU and that in itself is pretty bright. I used the vibrant pink ribbon with the black ribbon as well.

Here is a photo of the cards up close. I have about 2 of each card in the box with the bookmark and envies. I did little embellishments so I could fit more in the box.

I had the hardest time deciding what card to show you with this set. I finally decided on this Valentine one. Isn't that sentiment totally fun. TS has come up with some fun sentiments in this set for you.

Be sure to check out the other samples from: Joycelyn, Rebeccah, Lynnor, Vicki, Cindy, Sue, Laurie.
Remember they are IN STORE NOW!!!! And a added BONUS... all stamps INCLUDING these new releases are 15% off till the 17th! Whohooo Now what more reason do you need to grab up this baby. Have a wonderful day.

Today Flourishes is bringing you Lace edges. This set is perfect for you vintage stampers out there. But it also give stampers like me the elegance I want with my crisp and clean feeling as well. I used sentiments from the Tag lines set for the bookmark and Many Sentiments for the journal I altered. This is a single swag lace image in the set that I snugged up together to make it one long lace on the journal and candy topper. This set has so many options.

Here is a photo of them spread out for a closer look. These colors are a favorite of mine and the journal looks so much better than it did. :0)

I went with a criss cross style fold for this card. I stamped one of the longer lace images from the set and cut around the edge for more of a lacey feel. Added a few pearls to the lace and all done.

Here is the insert taken out for you to see. Nothing fancy with it, wanted the focus to be on the lace outside.
Hope to see you at the release. Be sure to check out the awesome creations the girls came up with:
Be sure to check back around 2pm on Friday. I have a FUN FUN FUN surprise for you from Totally Stampalicous and their NEW RELEASE!!!!! WHOHOO... You won't want to miss it!

Day 2 Love and Lace

Day two has arrived for Flourishes Sneak peeks. I hope you enjoyed yesterday and the samples. Today we have for you Tag Lines. A wonderful sentiment set of various sayings and fonts that I am thrilled about. I used two of the common tag lines in the set that I will be using the most I am sure.
Below I pulled out my Strawberries set and paired it with the Thank you in the Tag lines set. I added a few jewels to the side with a ribbon bow at the bottom. Simple as strawberry pie!

I needed a congratulations card for a friend of mine that just found out she is pregnant again. So I pulled out the wonderful Baby love and used some new flowers that DH got me for Christmas. I gave the ole button trick a try for the middle of the flowers as well. Don't you love the font in the Tag Lines set already? :0) This set goes perfectly with the Fancy Tags from Spellbinders. I have a little drawer set that I made with them you will see later.

Day 1 Love and Lace

Welcome to Day 1 of Flourishes Sneak Peeks for Jan. yep the new year is here and we have a fabulous release awaiting your eyes. Today we are showing you the wonderful sets Angelic Love and a background Clouds.
This first picture I have a sample of what will be at the Sportman's Show this weekend. Yes you read that right the Sportman's Show. My DH is a licensed Firearms instructor and they put on a couples class every Valentines day. So I make up a sign up card for display every year and this year I used Angelic Love. We give the ladies the chocolate box, as well we do dinner for the class and the ladies get flowers. Its a way to give her the Valentines she wants and him his too. Its really a fun class. Now you are wondering where are the chocolates. I noticed while taking the photo that I FORGOT to put them in the box before I tied them up with the ribbon bow. I had worked so hard on the bow that I will have to make this as my sample for my desk. lol Oh well...

Below I have a card with non traditional colors for a Valentines day card. I wanted to go more with a springy feel to this card. I used the heart nessties for the panels and the swiss dots for the bg.
Now check out the fabulous sneaks from:

For a sweet friend

This is for a sweet friend of mine who lost her mom this week. We are too far apart for me to hug and help support her there, but I can from a far pray for her and the family and give cyber hugs.....

One thing I would like to try and get myself back into doing this year would be some of the challenges. Now there is a LOT more challenges out there then I have time for, but if I can do at least 3 challenges a week I am going to be excited. As well my friend Leslie is trying to pull older sets out once a month and make a card a week with that set. Kinda like refreshing your older sets. So I am on another mission to do just this as well. :0) Leslie I am going to TRY....
So with that being said, I pulled out my SU set Memory of the Heart. It is one of my favorite sets that is from LONG ago. I combined this with yes a *challenge* over on Mercy's blog her sketch challenge. I didn't say my challenges would be the same week of the challenge, just a challenge. LOL Hey I am trying and that is what is important... right? Luckily this one is in the same week. I hope you have a wonderful day.

First birthday card of 2010

I hope you all had a wonderful first couple days of the New Year. Anyone make those nasty resolutions? I never do, they never seem to stick real well. ha-ha
I have a few birthdays coming up this month, so I thought I would get a start on the first one. I used this adorable House Mouse stamp. They just look so chubby and happy. I would too if I could eat like them and not worry about a pound. lol I used the spellbinders nessties label 7 for the framing and just a little bit of piercing, nothing fancy. I like how this turned out with the colors.
Lots of new and fun things coming your way this month, so stay tuned! Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day!
