June Christmas Spirit Challenge

Yep the June Christmas Spirit challenge is posted in Flourishes Forum on SCS. Hope you get a chance to play and get your Christmas cards done early!
I love the look of the IC piece this month. I used the Christmas tea set for my card. I added a little stickles to the poinsettea in the middle cup. The tiny jewels to the flakes on the top cup and some crochet ribbon with some grosgrain. I really like how this turned out.
We worked on his parents deck all weekend tearing outthe rotten wood and replacing it and all the pavers. Needless to say my lower back is achey and I need to relax now. hee hee Thanks for stopping by!

Last Sneaks and Gone Fishin

Liked the sneaks you have seen so far? Remember all the sets will be available tomorrow June 1st at the Clear Dollar Stamps store. Be sure to check out all the colors in the new Rustic Fall Collection with the matching ribbons. So today I am showing you Gone Fishin. Beautiful Father's Day set or just masculine set all together. I went with some faux stitching on the corners and a little ribbon fold with the tag. I added some stickles to the water for a sparkle.
This next set is called The Lord's Plan. I went with some basic grey paper for the color and drama on this card. Some pearls at the top of the scripture and voila done!

Sneaks Day 2 Sweet Child

Today I have for you Scripture Children. This set is so sweet with the silhouette images of children and I love all the scriptures in the set to match. This first card is using some of the new MB spearmint paper that I just love. I added a few pearls and a prima to the ribbon bow at the bottom. Very soft and simple.

This next card reminds me of a childhood memory with the colors and the image. I am sending this one to a friend. Again I used the Spearmint MB paper some sheer ribbon and a simple layout. This one is using the Rustic Fall collection in Deep sea and Toasted almond cardstock. With the Toasted almond sheer ribbon to match. Isn't it just yummy!

Jesus is Knocking

Welcome to day 1 of Clear Dollar Stamps sneak peeks for June! We have some fun things in store for you the next few days. Be sure to check out all the sneaks! All the sets you see will be available on June 1st over at the CDS Store. And we have some more new cordinating cardstock and ribbons for you this month as well. Rustic fall is what some of the DT will be showing you today in their sneaks.
This new set called Jesus is Knocking. I have added very little embelishments to this card. Kept the focus on the image and added the sentiment to the top.

The next card I made using vellum. I stamped the image but I turned the vellum over and I colored from the back side. I can't remember what technique this was called, but I haven't done it in a long time. I like the softer feel it gives the coloring. A little ribbon treatment and some photo corners is all I added to this card.

Sweet Wednesday

I can't believe it is already Wednesday... time is flying by this week. The boys Spring Program was last night and it was titled Proud To Be An American. It was AWESOME! I was so proud of the boys and they spoke their lines perfectly. Truly was a great performance from all the kids. They even sang a special tribute song to all the men and women in the crowd who has served our country. That made me cry ofcourse. :0)
On to the card.... This Strawberries set is one of my favorite summer images. It always makes me hungry but I do love coloring it. And since I want summer here to stay maybe this will draw it out of this cold rain we have. Very simple design with some red gingham ribbon and a few rhinestone accents. I used a scallop oval and cut it off right above the sentiment for a fun edge to the sentiment tag.

Thanks for stopping by with me today! Hope you have a wonderful rest of the week!

FF Beauty Within

Yea Friday! I am so excited to finally start to sit down a bit. This week has been busy on to of busy, this weekend is going to be a little slower. The twins birthday party was awesome this week and they had so much fun. Celeberating our anniversary this weekend and a close friend of ours is having his send off party for another tour in Iraq this weekend. Bitter sweet I guess this weekend is going to be. Onto the cards....
Laura is bringing us today's Friday Focus over on Flourishes blog. We are using the set Beauty Within today but with a twist. This stamp set is created to use with 2 specific spellbinders label 13 and 11. Did you know that this set is versatile without the spellbinders and it can also be used with other spellbinders if you are creative with them? To prove it the DT has created some fantastic creations to show you. You can check out the FLLC Gallery over on the Blog too!
My first card used the Mojo Sketch 139 with the Iris image in the set. I have used the Spellbinders circles to cut out my image and colored with the copics. The dp I used is the MB Spearmint that I need to order more of, I am just about out. I love this paper pack. hee hee A little added sparkle to the outer circle and the Iris and its done.

My next card is a little more vibrant. I did not use any spellbinders on this card. I simply stamped the image back to back and used pearl brads to seperate them. I cut out some of the flowers and popped them up, I got this idea from a few of the Spellbiners girls. Very clever those girls are! ;0)

Here is a side view photo of the card to see the flowers popped up. They each have a little bit of sparkle added to them, but very subtle. I sent this card to Pat aka patsmethers this week for her anniversary with Bubba. I know she had a fabulous day with hubby!

Now don't miss what the girls have created with the focus today!

CC Saffron Ephesians

This is for todays color challenge over on SCS. Betty asked if I could muster up a sample for the challenge. I was so excited and said yes. So this is my sample using the colors So Saffron, Rich razzleberry and Dusty Durango. I pulled out my Ephesians 2:8-9 from CDS. I used some of my banana silk ribbon, and some pearls I got laying around that matched the Dusty Durango paper. I also sponged the panel while I still had the nesstie laying on the cutout. Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day.

Birthday mouse

This is for the challenge over on Totally Stampalicious blog today to use photo corners. This was whipped up in about 15 min for a birthday party we were headed to. This Fat mice balloon is so darn cute isn't he. I masked the balloons from one of the girls cards I saw a few weeks ago. :0) Hope you get to play along with us, check out the blog for all the details! Got a full week ahead of me, sorry this is so short! Have a great day!

Beauty Within and sets available now...

What do you get when you mix the beauty of stained glass images with the fabulous shapes of Spellbinders Nestabilities? A fabulous new set from Flourishes called Beauty Within. This stamp set was designed to take the guess work out of cutting and trimming an elegant shape. With the help of Labels 11 and Labels 13, you can color to your heart’s content and then trim your image perfectly with these beautiful dies. This set, designed by artist Becky Fleck, is hot off the presses and in the Flourishes store now! Would you like to win this set? Simply leave a comment here (www.flourishes.org/blog) and you’ll be in the running! Winners will be announced Saturday at 12 PM CST on the Flourishes Blog.
For my first card I used the shades of purples and papers from the basic grey Euphoria set. I added some silk lavendar ribbon with a button and twine bow. I really like how the spellbinders label 13 lets you leave the white border if you choose not to trim it down.

On this card I didn't use the die, I cut it out and then layered it on more paper and cut i tout. So if you don't have these spellbinders YET you have a chance at still using the sets. How cool is that.... I grabbed a heart ribbon slider from the silver finishing touches collection. Very subtle background on this one with some memory box paper from a pack I can't even remember now. ACK... Sorry about that.

Sneaks, Release party and Blossoms

Welcome to day two of Flourishes May Sneak Peeks.
Important reminder we changed our Power Hour Release Party to TONIGHT at 9pm Central time in the SCS Forum! Hope to see you tonight for games, prizes fun and you get to see sneaks of tomorrows set! How cool is that!
My first card using Cherry Blossoms is a very soft and subtle colored card. I pulled out some of my memory box spearmint (favorite new dp) and used the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday 49. I added a few pearls to the corners, tried the button and twine again. I am getting better at that I think. :0)

This set is just so cool. I love the variety this set has with the images and sentiments. I pulled out my distressing tool and went for a rugged edge look to this card. I added a few pearls to the side and some piercing. Very simple but a lot of layers and for me that is not normal. lol But I do like how it turned out.

Now are you still with me? Good then I have a few sneaks to show you. Had to get all the important details out of the way first. :0) This first card I used the Antique Map all on its own. I think this is a fabulous map stamp and I am so excited with this card. I can't get a picture to show you really how it looks. Darn light... But the person who got this card thought that DH had bought it and was very impressed. I used several Copic Collections to color this from Sky, Water, Fleshtones 1 and 2 and a few from Buttercup. The sentiment is from Tag Lines.

This next card is using the Antique map and A Guiding Light. I sponged some clouds behind the lighthouse. I like the sentiment stamped and popped up. This is a father's day card for one of the girls at DH work.

Stampalicious Sketch

Totally Stampalicous has a sketch for you today and a fun new prize for this weeks challenge. Be sure to check out the blog for all the details. Now I sorta messed up on the sketch and put the heart in the wrong spot. Can I still blame the paint fumes on the mess up? LOL Atleast I got to stamp, right.. right.... I used this darling new stamp called Fat Mice Flower. Adorable isn't he. I have a small stack of crochet hearts that I made just waiting to be used still. I threw on a button with some twine in a bow on there and called it good. Hope you get to play along with us!
Some changes over at Flourishes. Our Sneak peeks will begin on Wed. as usual, but our Power Hour Release party is on THURSDAY 13th! yep a whole day earlier AND for those of you who are at the release we have a few more things in store for you. So be sure to mark THURSDAY for our Power Hour Release Party! Have a fabulous day!

Masculine retreat

First I have to tell you that I am DONE painting. Oh my word... that was the hardest darn thing to do and I am just so thankful that 2 weeks later I am officially done and vowed to never paint again. LOL The house looks awesome but still have my doubts I will ever paint again. :0)
On to my card.... It is time for Flourishes Pre-Challenge. As we get ready to honor the men who are fathers in our lives, we thought we'd challenge you to think outside the box when it comes to creating a "man card!" Now I bet you are thinking where is the out of the box on this card. See those pearls there on the side, that is my out of the box. Hey I was knee deep in paint so pearls was the only thing I could come up with at the moment. My brain was fried. lol I used the sketch 48 from Sweet Sketch Wednesday. I like how this turned out and I have one Father's day card down. I pulled out my Beach Life with some of my new memory box paper spearmint. Chocolate pearls and a little bit of piercing, very simple! Hope you get to play along with us. Be sure to check out the blog for all the details. And don't miss what the girls created for you:

Pansy thanks for Terri

One of the ladies at DH work gave him a bag full of stamps for me that she and her mom no longer wanted. Yippee... Oh she had some wonderful stamps in there including this pansy one. I have no idea who it is but I love it. So this is a thank you card I made for her and her mom. I sure hope they like it.
As for the painting in the house. UGH... UGH... UGH.... Monday was horrible. Spent all day priming the wall in the master, had 6 different paint samples painted on the wall. Took forever to get it painted and still wasn't done come 7 pm. We finished on Tuesday with that room and the bathroom's in the house. Today we are doing the twins room. Then we will be ALL DONE. Thank goodness... I am sick of painting, even if it looks awesome! lol Thanks for stopping in and listening to my rant on painting. hee hee Have an awesome day.
