Splash of Orange

Isn't that just awesome? This is the new Digi from Power Poppy called Countryside Bouquet! I adored,  coloring this fabulous image that I printed. YOU can buy, print and color this today yourself. Just head on over to the Power Poppy Store and purchase this new Digi for yourself. Available for a limited time so don't miss out.

Now, I have to say that me and orange have never really gotten on well when it comes to cards... or so I thought. I actually went back and looked at a few of my "orange" creations and I have to say its not as bad as I thought. I rather like orange and me.  :-)  Enough babbling... My image is printed on white card stock and colored with Copic markers. Yes the grey colors are colored with grey Copics and then the splash of orange. Wow, right... Die cut and layered using Spellbinders Ovals and Opulent Ovals in black card stock. Tied my sentiment from Dynamic Duos with a button tide off with a twine bow. Voila!

Rosey birthday fun

Do you ever buy something and then wonder when you will have the time to play with it?  ha ha  Well I purchased the Envelope Punch board a few weeks back and finally had a chance to play around with it. I have a few creations to share with you along with a few tutorials for those wanting some ideas.
This first one is a Fun Fold Tutorial if you want to create your own using ODBD Blushing Rose Paper collection. I like the romantic feel of these papers don't you? My tag is created using ODBD Custom Recipe and Tag die with the birthday sentiment from Smell the Roses stamp set. Wrapped some rich burgundy ribbon to keep the card closed and to tie off my tag. Voila! Hope you have time to create your own fun fold card today.

ODBD Blooming Rewind

Happy Friday! How was your week? Relaxing for us, but this weekend is crazy busy. I have yet to plant flowers in my planters out front. EEK!!! I think the neighbors are wondering when I plan to do that. ha ha Just need a few more hours in the day I guess. Now for my post... :-)
Over at Our Daily Bread designs blog we are rewinding our June release for you. Some say three is a crowd but I tend to think not. This trio of roses is using Our Daily Bread designs Rose stamp set. My favorite color of roses is yellow so I went with that for my colors. They are stamped on white card stock and colored with Copic markers.

I die cut each flower bouquet with ODBD Custom Recipe and Tags die, then popped a dimensional to the back of each one. The yellow scallop edge is using ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders die that is layered over some of our Blushing Rose Paper collection. Added a few jewels and voila! Have a wonderful day.

Coffee, flowers and a thank you

I needed a thank you for someone and wanted to do flowers, but not a large bouquet. At our local floral shop they have these darling mini coffee mugs with flowers. They are about half the size of a normal mug and super cute. Here is the whole picture with the flowers and tag. They had a generic square tag that was attached, but now I can't go giving a gift with a generic tag. So I created my own.  :-)
My tag is created using Smell The Roses that is stamped on white card stock and colored with Copic Markers.  I cut around the image to pop up on dimensionals to my tag that is created using  Vintage Flourish Pattern die. Computer generated my sentiment and added a few jewels. Voila!

A very sweet thank you gift and easy peasy.

Wild Country Match

This weekend the boys competed in a larger match than normal round count called Wild Country in LaGrande. They did awesome! We are so proud of them. They had a blast and did wonderful. Some of you asked what a "match" is when I mention it so I thought I would share a video of one stage for each of the boys.

They compete on the Jr. team this year and already are starting out awesome.

Yes those swingers are harder to hit than you would think. They did fabulous on the steel targets as well. Long weekend in the sun but worth both days of fun! We are just so proud of them! And a little side joy is my husband placed 1st place in Open A class! Whohoo!!!   Thanks for stopping by today!

FS383 A Swingin day

This weeks Featured Stamper 383 is Elaine aka Happy Heart. A darling gallery with creations for the little ones and a few of us older ones. I couldn't help but giggle as I went through Elaine's gallery. Several that I wanted to case but I kept coming back to the first one that I liked called Darn It!  I kept the colors, a young boy image and the layout with buttons. Changed the stamp, colors of ribbon and skewed my image panel and left off the sentiment.

I had bought this image called Swing Me A Story Max and just now have finally used it. Yea!  He is printed on white card stock and colored with Copic markers. Layered my ribbon with some red gingham that has been sitting here for ages onto some blue seam binding. Added my buttons and voila!  I hope you get to play along with us this week. Have a wonderful day.

Thank you lavender

Happy Friday! Summer vacation is just a few short days away... yippee!!  The boys have several jobs lined up this summer for their "car fund". They also plan to stain our fence for us that needs a fresh coat of stain, of course not without payment they stated. Kids...  It will be worth the work they do. Well you certainly didn't come to hear about my summer plans today. How about a creation from Power Poppy?

This did not turn out quite like I had it pictured in my head, yet it didn't turn out bad either. This beautiful Lavender is a new release and has several awesome stamps in the set. I have the Lavender stamped on white card stock and colored with Copic markers. I added Spellbinders die A2 Curved Borders One to the bottom portion with the sentiment in the middle and an added jewel. Very easy peasy and fresh feeling dont you think? Voila!

We have a big match this weekend so I need to get things ready. Going to be in the 90's. Yes summer weather is here. Have a wonderful weekend.
