FS447 Birthday Cones

Good morning! This weeks Featured Stamper 447 is Alex aka Punch-Crazy. She has some darling creations using punches or combination of punches that are just amazing. Since I am far from talented with that idea I decided on this pretty I'm here for you creation to case. I kept the theme, a floral image, layout and similar colors. Changed the sentiment, flower, papers and added a button and twine combo. Enjoy your week!

I couldn't resist coloring up some more of these Easy Breezy Coneflowers this weekend. They are printed on white card stock and colored with various Copic markers. Added a scored edge around the floral panel and layered onto some dark chocolate card stock. Tied a button and twine combo for the corner and stamped the sentiment at the top. Voila!

Grin and Berry it they say

Only 3 more days and school will be in session! I am pretty excited to be in a regular routine and back to normal... or so I think. ha ha  I didn't get a chance to post the news of the new release on Wednesday from Power Poppy called Berry It. Yumo, right?!?  These berries are just so delish and have such a variety of options. The funny pun to go with it is PERFECT!

These are printed on white card stock and colored with various Copic markers. A simple matting of some gingham and eggplant card stock for the base. Wrapped white crochet lace around the edges with some soft purple ribbon. My sentiment is behind the main panel with a window die cut using a circle from Spellbinders. Added some sparkles on the berries and some jewels. Voila!

Soothing thanks

Happy Friday everyone! I haven't posted since last Friday I know, but I did say we had a full weekend and that extended into the week. My parents sold their house so we were packing up u-hauls, trailers, trucks etc.  The house selling is a blessing, my dad found out his surgery for his knee (again) is Sept. 14th. So getting the house all moved now was a blessing!
Baseball and Basketball have ended for the summer, yet Football started up on Wednesday full board. Not to mention life in general going on. So time in the stamping room has been rather limited. Anyways... you didn't want to hear about my busy times did you. How about some soothing soft Coneflowers today? That's right, Power Poppy introduced earlier this week the new beautiful Easy Breezy Coneflowers! Oh my....

In the past when I searched on Coneflowers I came across these white petals and yellow centers that were just so pretty. Much like the ones you can find on the PP Blog post HERE.  Figured why not go with a soft and soothing card for today. These are printed onto white card stock and colored with Copic markers. A little bit of faux stitching around the border and the vellum backing. Wrapped some lace trim in a matching cream color to the designer paper. Stamped the sentiment onto vellum as well and added some sparkles and sequins. Voila!

Pretty Dahlia

Morning! This weekend is packed to the max so I am going to make this short and sweet today. Much like my So Grateful creation today! I stamped the Dahlia onto white card stock and colored the blooms with Copic markers. Once colored I cut around the image so that I could pop it up on dimensionals.

The frame is using Spellbinders Classic ovals that I layered to create the frame, then added a lattice die from Spellbinders to the back before I placed it on the base. Added some faux stitching to the designer paper and some stickels to the blooms. Tied off my sentiment with a button and twine combo. Voila! Remember our Shabby Chic challenge started last week and who doesn't want to WIN some goodies? Check out the PP Blog for details.

Threaded Thanks

Good morning! Summer went by pretty fast in our house, how about yours? School starts in just 3 weeks and we are trying to get ready. The twins are not sure if they are excited yet. :-)  We have school clothes to buy, class supplies, not to mention the long list of extra stuff. It never ends..

This is a quick thank you card that did not turn out like I pictured it in my head. That is so frustrating! However its not bad and honestly will have to do as I need it this weekend. EEK! I die cut the stars with my retired WOJ Stars Die-light and added some sparkles to the white one. The image is from Play Ball that is stamped on white card stock and colored with Copic markers. Added some thread like the baseball to the edges. Voila! Hope you have a fabulous day!

FS444 Beautiful butterflies

Good morning! This weeks Featured Stamper 444 is Dena aka Drekow. What a gallery of clean design and springy colors. It was super easy to pick my case when I saw this Watercolor Wings Moments creation. Keeping with the butterflies, over all layout and crisp and clean feeling. Changed my butterflies, removed the ribbon, added some jewels and kept this a one layer card. Congrats and Enjoy your week Dena!

My butterflies are from the stamp set New Creature that are stamped onto white card stock and colored with Copics. Once they were colored, I delicately cut around them so they could be popped up on dimensionals and the wings spread out. One of my favorite things to do with butterfly stamps, it looks so cool! Scored three lines along the bottom for fun. Then added some sparkle to the wings, then a few jewels to highlight the sentiment. Voila! Hope you have a wonderful day today.

Shabby Sunflowers

Who said Sunflowers can't be pink? I have seen a few in my day... okay they may have been altered with some fancy system but they looked awesome and this is a paper flower so anything goes. hee hee  Happy Friday and did you see the newest digi release called Sunflower Power? Oh my... This months challenge is all about Shabby Chic and well lets face it, that is NOT my style at all. However stepping out of the normal is a good idea so I gave it a try. How did I do? Someone asked if I could make my creations larger on the posts and I thought sure. Now you can see it even better, right? Maybe that isn't such a good thing? LOL  Kidding! I will try to remember to do this and I have changed a few of the last posts. Anyways....

Lots of distressing, a little bit of lace trim and ribbon along the corner. I have softer muted colors (well for me that is) and some buttons and a twine bow. Do you think it passes for this challenge?   My Sunflower is actually popped up and cut between the leaves to add dimension to them. I think if you click on the picture it enlarges it for you to see what I mean. I added some vellum fish tales to the edges and voila! Hope you can play along this month. This was also created for the fabulous DTGD Challenge of Sandee and Cheryl's. No.... I can't get enough of Cheryl's challenge.  ;-) Have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Woot Woot!!!!  You can check out the challenges each day as they are posted each morning HERE. If you are not a Fan Club member yet, what are you waiting for? Hope you can join us and play along.

This is for Susieaustralia's challenge today! It is my birthday and thought it was fitting! I actually made this for my friend who has been getting these "random droppings" of House Mouse cards and hasn't figured it out yet. hee hee
He is called Eat Your Cake and Nap Too, which is stamped on white card stock and colored with Copic markers. Just a few accents of scattered sequins, stickles on the frosting and two little tags along the side. My friends favorite cake is white, I think I achieved a white cake center don't you?  ;-)  My favorite is chocolate cake and chocolate frosting, yumo! Although the whole ice cream cake craze is more popular in my house for my birthday lately with the heat here.  :-)   Voila! Hope you are having fun in the DTGD Challenges this week!

My base layer is using kraft card stock with some polka dotted dp wrapped with some lace trim and ribbon. A few scattered pearls with my sentiment and sparkles for the finishing touch. Voila! You know that I LOVE to cut around my images for a little bit of flair. Yes it is a lot of fussy cutting but its so worth it. When I saw Cheryl's challenge I knew exactly what I was going to do.  ;-)  These beautiful Ranunculus were perfect for what I wanted. They are colored with various Copic markers and then I delicately cut around them to pop up on dimensionals. Added a fun lattice like background through the oval window and some added flourished jewels. Finished it off with a bit of sparkle on the blooms. Voila! Hope you can play along this week!

This is for Tammie E's challenge today. My beautiful flowers are a digi called Flowering Branches that are colored with Copic markers. Very simple scalloped edge to the side and a few enamel dots for accent. Oh yea... and some stickles for fun on the leaves.  ;-)  Voila!  Hope you get time to play along today.

Release day... So grateful

Happy Release Day! That's right the new August release Color Me Greateful for Power Poppy hit the shelves and ready to ship out. If you missed all the inspiration behind the new sets, be sure to head on over to the power Poppy Blog for all the details! Then head on over the store!  :-)

This So Grateful set makes me swoon! Went with the beautiful chair stamp in this set for a fallish like coloring today. Very simple design with just a scallop edge along some designer paper edge. Added alittle bit of ribbon tied into a bow and some enamel dots for accents. There is sparkle on the flowers for you too. Easy peasy!
