Tulips in Springtime

Hi after two weeks since my last post. Sheessh... Been a little busy, among other things in life. Hopefully it won't be long again before my next post. A different season in life as they keep telling me.  ;-)
Finally I got to print and play with the newest from Power Poppy called Tulips in Hobnail Pitcher. I heart these tulips!!! So many options and they just make you smile, right?!?!

My tulips are colored with various Copic markers. I added a little bit of E13 to the leaves and I like how that looks on the tips. Mine in the flower bed do that closer to when they die, but I figured what the hey! Used some soft banana colored cardstock for the base layers. My vellum is textured with the chicken wire embossing folders. A few sequins and some sparkle to the leaves. Voila! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Spring Meadow

Good morning! Friday is here, woot woot! We have our last weekend of basketball tournaments then we are straight baseball. Ai yi yi! Talk about busy, but happy!  ;-)  Hopefully you have a restful and fun weekend ahead for you.

Today I created using the new digi called Spring Meadow Bouquet from Power Poppy. Oh what fun color choices you can create with this new image. The bleeding hearts are awesome!!! This was printed on white cardstock and colored with various Copic markers.

A very clean and simple design with just a little Spellbinders border across the bottom panel and the image panel. My sentiment tied up with a button and twine combo. Finished it off with a few rhinestones and then some sparkle. Voila! Don't forget about our Peek-A-Boo sketch challenge this month and your chance to win. Check out the PP Blog HERE for all the details.

Pink presents

Good morning. I started coloring this a few weeks back and didn't finish until recently. This is from Cozy Cupfuls stamp set. I stamped the image onto white cardstock and colored with Various copic markers.

This fits a standard A2 envelope but it is actually a tent topper card. Haven't created one of these in a long time. Added some flourished jewels behind the ribbon bow tied with silver cord and a button. A little bit of stickles on the present and voila! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Birthday Raffy

Happy Monday!  This is Hello Baby Giraffe that is printed on white cardstock and colored with various Copic markers. A friend of mine requested a new giraffe for me to play with so I found some new ones.  ;-)  At least they are new to me. This little guy makes me smile.

I added a simple scalloped rectangle border to the curved frame I die cut. Then some sparkle around the edges. Just some sequins and voila! I like how simple and cute this turned out. AND... I used some of this designer paper from SU that I bought years ago that is still sitting here. Along with all my other designer paper. It will get used eventually. Hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks for stopping in today!

FS475 Lucky blooms

This weeks Featured Stamper 475 is Julie aka Jul012835. I choose this 3 Lucky Shamrocks card to case. I kept with the layout, shamrocks, colors and button. Changed the kraft to white, added texture to the background, a side panel and changed the image. Enjoy your week!

This bouquet is so sweet and called Wish You Luck. I have colored the blooms with Copic markers and then cut around the image to pop up on dimensionals. Added some texture to the smaller panel using the Chicken Wire folder. Then a heart shaped die down the edge with a button on the top. Voila! Have a wonderful day!

Easter Wishes

Good morning and happy Friday! How about a springy Easter card today? This is very simple in design using Bloomin Wonderful stamp set. Oh I just adore wreaths! Not really sure why but I do like most wreaths that I see. This one is stamped on white cardstock and colored with various Copic markers. I even shade the center of the wreath with B0000 for a light color.

Some sparkle was added to the eggs and the flowers. The only embellishment is the flourished jewels behind the wreath panel. Easy peasy!
Don't forget out Power and Spark challenge is going on over on the Power Poppy Blog. Its a fun sketch called Peek a boo! Hope you can play along.

Goodie Bag

Supplies:

8 x 8 sheet of card stock or designer paper (double sided paper shown. That way the inside is pretty too), adhesive and bone folder.

Step 1:

Take your 8x8 sheet of paper and fold in half, crease edge with bone folder. You should see a triangle

Step 2:

Take right edge and fold inward and up towards the left edge. You should see a triangle at the top as you start to fold over. The tip of the corner will meet the left side edge.

Step 3:

Take left edge and meet the corner on the right. The top edges should line up. Unfold and adhere both sides to secure

Step 4:

Take the top and fold over one side to form the pocket for your goodies. If you want to add ribbon or twine you will want to run that under the flap before you glue down edge. Decorate as desired.

Step 5:

My final goodie bag with a few cookies inside. I added ribbon with a button center. The tag is from Good Thinking: Love Notes. A great Valentine treat. I can see these as baby shower favors as well. Enjoy!

Well anything blue really on a card is a favorite. ha!  This is the card closed with the belly band.

Want to create your own belly band A2 size card check out  my Belly Band Tutorial. These are such cool cards and you can add so much to them and be able to write on the inside still. :-)  My poinsettias have some sparkles added to them and pearl centers. Voila! Hope you have a wonderful day!

The designer paper is with music from It is Well with my soul from the ODBD Christian Faith collection pack. Added some of my beautiful lace trim that my sweet friend Pat sent me with a ribbon tied bow above it. Some pearls and added sparkle around the cross. Voila! Hope you have time to play along today.

What matters to your heart?

Good morning and happy well wishes Friday. I say well wishes as I think we are all finally on the mend. My oh my. Lots of kids were sick at school besides the boys along with teachers and parents. Seems to be sharing itself with everyone. Thank you for the well wishes notes and prayers, they were appreciated.

The new Power and Spark challenge is up on the Power Poppy Blog today and your host is me personally. Yea! I have a fun sketch for you to play with all month long. Be sure to link your creations back up to the PP Blog HERE so you can have a chance at the prize.

For the sketch I pulled out Folk Heart to play with. The tiny sunflowers were calling my name. They are stamped on white cardstock, colored with copics and cut around to pop up on the card base. This sentiment is so sweet. So what things matter to your heart? Mine is my family. I am spending more and more time with. They are growing fast as I have said many times before.  Gathering as many memories as I can before they are bored with us parents. ha ha
Some stitched rectangles around the edges for fun and texture with the Chicken wire embossing folder. Scattered jewels and some sparkle to finish it off. Voila!
