Thinking fall is over

I am thinking fall is over and the last of my fall themed cards for the year. Figured I would send it off with this stamp called Autumn Tree. A simple and clean design for you using this tree. I colored the tree with various Copic markers, then I die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle.

Layered onto some designer paper and then some rust cardstock. My sentiment is stamped onto a matching rust die cut circle with a heart brad center for the corner. This is some more of that CTMH hardware that I am trying to use up. Voila.... goodbye fall... and welcome Winter and Christmas cards. YEA!!!!  :-)  See you back here tomorrow for the kick off of the Dirty Dozen December Christmas Challenge. Have a great day!

Red, white and paperwhites

Good morning! How about a red and white classic feel for you today using Glistening Paperwhites? This started as a single layer or none bulky card when I dry embossed the frame around the blooms. However with the button and silver cord and jewels it is now a non bulky card mailer. This will have to be  hand delivered.  :-)

This is also for the Dirty Dozen November Christmas challenge. I have finalized the majority of next years challenges. We are going to shake things up a little bit.  Be on the look out and hope you can play along with us this month. Have a wonderful day!

Power Poppy Black Friday Sale, new Digi and a Surprise....

Good morning all! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. Today we get to have those yummy left over turkey sandwiches. YEA!!!!  Before I show off ONE of the new digi's at Power Poppy. Let me show you the graphic that has a little bit about the Black Friday Sale. Be sure to check out the Power Poppy Blog for more details.

Not only do you get a deal with the 30% off, you can also check out the newest Digi's. Oh yea!!! What a collection and SO MANY options!!! My first use was the Wreaths Felt leaves and Fruit set of a card and matching gift tag.
This Wreath Felt leaves and fruit is a perfect pairing to the stamp set Bough Wow Wow. They both have the same matching colors and papers obviously to make it a set. I really like these little felt balls they are fun to color. Added some flourished rhinestones to the tag and sparkles to them both.

No card and tag set is complete unless I have done them in a blue, white and silver combo. So... here is another version in those colors.  :-)  Same stamps and digi just different colors and papers. Wait until you see what I am working on using the Birch and Evergreens digi, oh yea!

Some wonderful creations from the other girls so be sure to check out the Power Poppy Blog for links to everyone's creations. Happy Shopping!!!

I will play my drum for him

This little drummer boy is just so darn sweet. I created this with the Dirty Dozen November challenge in mind with the music background and of course this sweet little drummer playing for Jesus.

My stamp is called Little Drummer boy which is stamped on white cardstock and colored with various Copic markers. Then I die cut him using Lil Inkers stitched rectangles and the chocolate layer. Before I adhered the drummer panel I die cut some Fancy Foliage in the matching blue cardstock to the chocolate panel. The designer paper is from the Christmas Collection 2014 layered onto chocolate and a faux stitching around the base. The little buckle like die cut is from Matting Circles which I threaded my ribbon through and added some sparkle to all the dies. Finished it off with some random jewels and more sparkle. Voila!

Grateful pooch

Good morning. Hopefully you had a great weekend. The boys and I went with some friends to all the local Christmas bizarre's and got a few gifts. The fact the boys like to go each year is great. They have an appreciation of handmade things and the work that goes into them. Being that I stamp and create gifts might have something to do with that appreciation. :-) They really like to find the unique and cool sports stuff for either college of the NFL teams. Some of the things that they have bought over the years is so cool. I think my favorite one so far has been the clock they bought John made out of an old record shaped like the WSU Cougar logo that he has in his office. It is so cool. Anyways a great weekend and this week will be even more fun with Thanksgiving coming. Yea!!!

Enjoyed coloring this little guy up called Harry the dog. After he was colored I die cut his panel with an oval shape. The base layer is a new embossing folder to me as my sweet friend Leslie tempted me with her card HERE. This embossing folder is adorable and called Paw Prints. Once I saw Leslie's card I just had to add it to my collection. She is quite the enabler.  ;-)  Die cut a stitched frame for the oval to nestle between and then added my sentiment onto some vellum. Finished it off with a dog paw brad and voila! Hope you have a wonderful day.

Give thanks

Happy Friday! I think this is going to be close to the last of my fall cards. Honestly I think this is the most I have made for fall in a long time. This card didn't quite turn out how I had it pictured in my head, yet I do like the end result.  I need to work on more Christmas cards and tags for the year.  :-)

This is from Olive and Oak Expanded stamp set. Colored with various Copic markers and simple rounded corners at the end. Wrapped some ribbon and a button combo around the top and a metal swirly from the bottom to finish it off. Voila!
Don't forget about our Power and Spark challenge this month and linking your creations.

Close Knit Friendship

Morning! How about a card that is non holiday related today? My card is using a retired set from Whiff Of Joy called Close Knit Maya. They are no longer in business, yet you might find this on Ebay used? It is so cute.  This was made for a special person in mind and I hope she likes it.

Maya is stamped on white cardstock and colored with various Copic markers. A simple stitched die cut for the frame with a picket fence across the bottom. My designer paper is from Soulful Stitches paper pack. This is the sentiment in the stamp set and a tag cut for the edge with a brad center. Voila! Have a wonderful day.

Crisp Sunflowers

Good morning. Hopefully you had a wonderful weekend. Mine was rather restful and a good thing as we start Basketball season this week. Yep off to the races with the next sport.  :-)  Stamping time was available this weekend so I took advantage and have some creations for you this week.

The Sunflower Bouquet has two beautiful image in the set and this one had yet to be inked up. A very crisp and clean feeling card so you can focus on these blooms. They are colored with various Copic markers. My sentiment is from So Grateful stamp set. Only a few random brads and some sparkle for embellishments today. Voila! Have a wonderful day.

Give Thanks in all things

Happy Friday! I know what your thinking.... three fall cards in the same week, gasp!!! Is she feeling okay? ha ha  I have been working on several fall cards, they are not my favorite and I tend to skip over them more often than not. But how do you skip over this gorgeous Bittersweet Wreath, you don't! The first one I created was yes a Christmas card but... do you blame me? At least a fall one came next. hee hee  Moving on... ;-)

My designer paper for the background is from the Warm and Cozy pack layered onto some mustard and rust card stock. Some faux stitching around the edges. Wrapped lace trim and ribbon around and tied into a bow. More of the CTMH hardware added to the sentiment panel and some suduko gel pen added to the branches. Voila!

The Power and Spark Challenge Think Pink is still waiting for your creation to be added. We have some wonderful creations already added so be sure to check it out and add yours.

Simple Maize

Good morning. A clean and simple creation today using Maize for Days image. I can't help but have this printed large, it just looks awesome. This designer paper that was sitting around was my color inspiration. I colored the corn with various Copic markers and added a simple scored border around the edge and a few old Candi dots to the top corner.

Here is a side shot trying to show you the Suduko gel pen that I added to the corn husk. Still hard to see but looks cool on the card. The inside has the sentiment from Bittersweet Wreath added with a flagged panel and some faux stitching. Voila! Hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Fall

Happy Monday and yes a fall card as promised. These sunflowers are so sweet packaged in their wrapper don't you think? These are from Sunny Harvest one of our first fall releases I believe.

A rather straight forward card with a stitched rectangle to die cut the sunflowers. Stamped my sentiment in the top right corner and added a button and twine combo to the bottom corner. The designer paper is from the Warm and Cozy pack with the base layer textured using chicken wire embossing folder. A little bit of sparkle and voila!

Since we were raking up leaves yesterday, I thought I would share a picture of Ranger. I don't share pictures of him often since most of the time he won't sit still for one. Dogs... ha ha! This is our small tree that we started clean up around. I was trying to hide this old football to throw away since its all torn. However as you can see Ranger found it and decided it was a keeper still. Ranger is doing okay, lately he has had several more seizures so we changed up his medicine.  :-(  Trying to find the right balance of a normal dog and no seizures is rather taxing. But we will find the right balance and it will all be good.
He sure does love when we rack up the leaves. Ranger will hide his ball and then root around for it like he didn't know it was there. Hence scattering all the leaves we piled up all around again. Makes for fun and giggles for us. We had 5 bags of leaves between this tree and the larger one we have in the back. They all haven't fall off yet so another round of leaf bags in the next few weeks I am sure.

Thanks for stopping in today. Hope you enjoy this wonderful fall day!

Holiday Acorns

Good morning! I did mention I would have a few fall themed cards for you soon. This is technically not a fall card, but  it does have acorns on it and they are fall.  ;-)  hee hee  Promise next week I have a few truly fall themed cards for you. The new Instant Garden Digi is out at Power Poppy and it is called Acorn Ornaments. On the Power Poppy Blog there is links to everyone who is playing along with some inspiration from Marcy. So check it out!

I was in the pink spirit as our new Power and Spark challenge from Tosh is Think Pink. You can play along and link all your creations to the Think Pink Link HERE. Not to forget the Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge for November.  ;-)

After these darling acorns were colored I die cut using a Spellbinders decorative die. Layered them onto some ODBD Christmas Collection 2014 paper on the Spellbinders decorative panel for the base with some pink ribbon around the edge. My sentiment is die cut with an oval and before I removed the die sponged on some light pink. Popped some dimensionals onto the back and some silver cord tied into a bow above the sentiment panel. Added sparkle and sequins to finish it off. Voila!

Pink Christmas

Welcome to the November Power and Spark challenge with our lovely host Miss Tosha! She has a fun challenge this month with a Think Pink Christmas. Woot woot!! You don't have to ask me twice. Tosha says
""I love vintage, so I often think of white and pink for Christmas decor.  I thought it would be fun to feature pink on a Christmas Card.  So, for this month's challenge, let's THINK PINK and make it a Pink Christmas."

You can play along as much as you like and make sure to post your challenge on the PP Blog post. Now for my creation....

A gift tag! hee hee   Yep still have a few more tags to go for the girls requests then I can work on the rest of my gift tags. This one is a layered look with nesting tags from a retired die at Whiff Of Joy. I stamped Poinsettia with the tags layered and colored with various Copic markers. Each tag has dimensionals layered behind it to give it some depth. This is also for the Dirty Dozen November Christmas challenge. Wrapped ribbon and silver cord around the top and a button to tie it off. My sentiment is from Simple Joys with a few pearls added to the end of the tag. Scattered some more around the tags and some sparkle to top it off. Voila!

November Dirty Dozen Christmas Tidings

Good morning! Today is the first of November and that means the new Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge is posted up. This months theme is "Sing in all achord" and there is a few ways you can interpret this theme. Check it out on the DD Fan Club Page found HERE. Hope you can play along.

My creation is using the beautiful Wreaths Plain and Fancy for this months challenge. The wreath is colored with various Copic markers. I was going with the flow of the paper for the colors and the circular pattern using the wreath. Wrapped some silver ribbon and silver cord around the base tied into a bow with a jeweled center. My sentiment in the middle is from the set Simple Joys. Added some sparkle and jewels to finish it off, voila!
