Dahlia Note set

Good morning and happy Friday! This week has been crazy and yes what is new at my house. But seriously... We got a quote on the installation of our new counter tops in the kitchen. YEAH!!!  Now to pick out what we want. Did you know there is so MANY choices. Ugh... This is the one part I don't care for when it comes to home remodel stuff. ha ha  But we are getting closer to having the kitchen complete. The back porch and fence are finally done. Bathrooms are all that will be left and then we will have a completely remodeled house. Good thing, as college will be expensive and just around the corner by time we get those done.
Anyways... Only had time for a quick note card set when I was in the stamp room. I needed something for a friend that was flat rate mail ready and the new Dahlia XL was perfect choice. That and I just ADORE this flower.

Very simple design on these note cards too with just a partial of the flower stamped along the edge. I added a Beautiful Borders die cut edge the image panel before I added it to the base. My sentiment is from the stamp set Vibrant Thanks

This works right into Tosha's Power and Spark challenge Mix and match this month using multiple sets or digi! You might want to give it a try and post up on the link as you have a chance at winning $50 in power poppy bucks. How cool is that! Finished it off with a few sequins and voila!

Sweetest thing

Good morning! We took a little mini vacation and I am back feeling great. Now to get into the stamping mood.  :-)  While I was away did you see the newest Instant Garden digi at Power Poppy was released? This is called Cherries and Berries. A few different fruits and sentiments. Yeah!!  So hard to choose which to start with, the raspberries won out today.

Easy peasy today with these yummy berries. They are colored with Copic markers and die cut using a square die. Layered that onto the scallop rectangle die. Some designer paper layered onto the base and a few sequins to finish it off. Voila. Thank you for stopping by. Have an awesome day!

Friend you amaze me

Happy Friday! I am tired of these 100 degree days I will say that much. Another week of being tired of it and looks like next week will be pretty close to the same. Ugh... But you didn't come here to hear about the heat. ha ha.. It is time for the Power Poppy Friday and some krafty goodness.

My card today is using Vibrant Thanks. Thought a little kraft cardstock and colored pencils would be fun for today's card. These blooms are stamped in black ink onto the kraft and colored with various colored pencils. I really like how this turned out. Added just a few sequins for accents and Voila!

Don't forget about the Power and Spark challenge and your chance to win $50. Want to be a guest designer for our Hues to Use challenge? Then play along and see if you are next. Have a wonderful day.

Party Time

Yep is was party time! Summer is just about over and that means school will be starting. Not sure they think its party time however, they miss the routine. Not sure I had used the single piece of cake in the set Party Time yet so figured I would give it a whirl. Oh what fun it is to color.

I actually had this started for one of the Dirty Dozen challenges and then I figured it wasn't quite the way the challenge explained. I do like how it turned out, simple and sweet. It would be perfect for a guy birthday card had I not put the flower on the corner. Oh well... Guess I need to get working on a new one for the guys. I need several guy birthday cards and I have none. gasp!!! Anyways, very easy peasy with just some sparkle and enamel dots added for accents. Voila!

Dahlia XL

Good morning! This Dahlia XL speaks for itself doesn't it? What fun it is to color and just wait until you see what else I have been coloring using this flower.  :-)
No sentiment on this one just a large and in charge flower for you!

I actually used more of my Pearl-Ex pigment Misty Lavender on this one and added a little bit of sparkle to the tips of the blooms. Here is a side view for you, the shimmer is incredible on this flower. I did layer this one layer as well because it just looks awesome.

Yesterday was my birthday and it was wonderful. We actually took the boys to an Auto Cross race locally and had them race their car, along with John racing his own car. My BIL and sister came into town which was super cool. My BIL used to actually race with his race car he has, so he rode with the boys and helped them out. What a BLAST! I had so much fun and I think we have now found another expensive hobby. Ai yi yi... This however they will have to pay for on their own. ha ha! A wonderful birthday day! Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful afternoon.

August Calendar page

Berry good right... This House Mouse is not available anymore and I can't find it at Stampendous site.  :-(  Every time I pull these stamps out I want to buy more. Good thing I resist and just grab one I have up on the bins.

This is one of the first ones that I bought too so I have several creations over the years with him. Just a few enamel dots for accents. Easy Peasy! Have a great day!

DTGD with Butterflies

Happy Friday! If you missed it and I hope you did not, the new release from Power Poppy came out and we had a fabulous time showing you sneak peeks last week. The Abundance collection is simply marvelous and all the sets are must have for your collections.  :-)

These tiny butterflies are from Pure Prairie Spirit and perfect for the Dare To Get Dirty challenges this week at Splitcoaststampers. I created this with  Joanne aka Sleepyinseattle's challenge in mind. Two of the butterflies are actually popped up on dimensionals so the wings extend from the panel. Just added some sparkles to the wings and some jewels for a little touch. Voila!

DTGD 6-Teen

Good morning. I have another creation for the Dare To Get Dirty challenges this year. These challenges are always so much fun and I missed out last year. This is for Margscardcrazyb challenge. A friend of ours daughter is turning 16 and I thought this would look super cute for her. I used the ODBD Large Number dies for the 6 and sponged around it before I removed the die. Then used these retired letters for the Teen part. I think its too cute.

The designer paper is from ODBD Blushing Rose paper pack that I trimmed to make on a larger base for the card. Punched and layered several flowers and added sparkles to the edges. Some scattered jewels and voila!

DTGD with Hollyberries

This months August Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge is posted and I am also incorporating it with the Dare To Get Dirty challenges. This is for Cheryl aka Cherylquilts challenge. The August Christmas challenge is all about decorations. We all have decorations from garland, ornaments, lights, table settings, tins, boxes bags etc. the list goes on. So pull out the decorations and play on paper.  Have fun with it.

I just enjoy these Hollyberries when you can resize them as the digi. I went with them on the long side like they are hanging down. The name of this fold is the tent fold if I remember but I am not 100 percent sure. Either way it fits in the standard envelope but the base is smaller which adds an interesting element to the shape. Wrapped some twine around the designer paper and added some sparkle and enamel dots. Voila! Hope you have a wonderful day.
